Zayne Quentin Paulik, age 4, of Massillon -
Heaven’s biggest gain was our greatest loss on January 17, 2018.  Zayne will always remain our precious little boy and Zara’s big brother.  He loved his Pooh Bear, cuddling and sitting on the laps of those he loved.
He is survived by his loving parents, Quentin Paulik and Brianna Grillon and little sister, Zara Quinn Paulik; his grandparents, John Paulik, Michael and Leanna Gardner, Tami Hickey and Shawn Arline; and great-grandparents, Diane Hickey and Donald and Pat Ligget.
Family and friends will gather with Celebrant Aric Smith at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.  Burial will follow in Brookfield Cemetery.  The family will receive condolences one hour prior to the services on Saturday morning, from 10-11:00.

Our sunshine on earth is now a star in heaven.

Words are not adequate to describe how deeply I am grieving for our beautiful precious boy, Zayne. As his great-aunt Lori, or Aunt Wowo as all of my wonderful nieces and nephews have called me for decades, I am so grateful for every minute spent with Zayne. He was the most joyous, inquisitive, insightful, and funny child I have ever met! He always greeted you with hugs and said good-bye with hugs. He was so unusual because he actually wanted to converse with adults as soon as he could speak, and that little guy was so interesting! His loving personality is his lasting gift to all of us and testament to his parents, my niece Brianna Grillon and Quentin Paulik, who nurtured him with absolute devotion. Love and prayers to all of Zayne's family members.

We are so sorry for your loss. We know Leanna, and she always would talk about her daughter and her 2 wonderful grandchildren. Our hearts are broken because we know what it is like to lose a child. May you always cherish his memories.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Prayers for all of you,

Brianna and Quentin!
I am so very sorry for your lost. I only met Zayne one time when you brought him and Zara to meet me for babysitting. He was so active and big on life, is what I saw in that short time. Please know that my heart breaks for you and you families. May God be with you. All my love and prayers. Sherri

Dearest Bri,
I keep seeing myself standing in the doorway of Freudy's and seeing you across the room and not being able to move, due to my sadness.
Please know that Christine and I are so very, very sorry for this unimaginable loss and that we are thinking of you, Quentin and your daughter.

John, I cannot express how sorry I am to hear of you losing your grandson. I have seen your sister through the years, but I don't think I've seen you in maybe 25 years. I still remember how laidback and fun you were to be around. I have two grandchildren of my own and I can't imagine what a tragedy this must be for you. I want you to know many of your old friends, all around town, are thinking of you and are saying a prayer for you and your family. With the most sincere sympathy, your old friend Don Rohr

As Aunt Wowo’s partner, it was an honor and delight to get to know and spend time with Zayne. His bright smile, inquiring mind and warm friendliness made every visit fun, and now, a memory to hold dear. His friendliness truly stood out…He welcomed me as he seemed to welcome the world: with curiosity and a big open heart. So many hearts are broken by this tragedy, and I hope and pray that they are healed through memories of this wonderful child, and family and friends clinging together and loving each other through these sad and difficult days.
