Edward J. Hare, Sr.
Ed is a licensed funeral director/embalmer and has been with the firm since 1971. He holds a B.S. Degree in Education from Eastern Kentucky University and a Mortuary Science Degree from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Ed attends Church of the Lakes United Methodist Church in Jackson township and hosts a bi-monthly bible study at the Massillon funeral home. His community involvement over the years has been extensive. His passion has been with the Massillon Heritage Foundation and preservation of Five Oaks, home of the Massillon Woman’s Club. Ed enjoys spending time with his wife, Nancy; daughter, Jennifer; son, Chip; and four grandchildren He humbly states, “It has been a wonderful blessing working at AFH for 46 years and I truly enjoy assisting people at the most difficult time of their life. I look forward to serving the needs of the community for many years to come.”
Mike has been at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home since 2004, and became a licensed funeral director in 2014. Mike is a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Stark Technical College and the University of Phoenix. He and his family are members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon where he has served as a Eucharistic Minster and on the Parent Advisory Committee for the Parish CCD Program. He is also a Faith in Action Board member. Mike enjoys reading and researching and building model cars and aircraft. “It is my privilege to be part of this dedicated and professional team and to serve - if only in a small way, the families who have placed their faith and trust in us.” He lives in Massillon with his wife, Jennifer and daughter, Kathleen.
