Todd K. Archinal, 56, of Navarre, passed away unexpectedly, of natural causes, at his home, Tuesday afternoon, February 22, 2022. Born in Massillon, December 4, 1965, a son to the late Marvin A. and Esther M. (Waldron) Archinal, Todd graduated from Fairless High School with the Class of 1984, and received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Walsh University in 2010. Most of his professional career was spent on active or active reserve duty with the US Navy. Following his retirement from the service, he worked as a vehicle transporter with the Waikem Auto Group.
Busy on the computer – or several, was how he spent his workday. But in his leisure time, his PC was a source of relaxation and entertainment, shopping, communication, and a great deal more. A beloved brother and uncle, Todd looked forward to and enjoyed spending time with his family. For several years he enjoyed the sport of competitive powerlifting in the brotherhood of Canton’s Iron Chamber Gym. He collected comic books – with loyalties to both the Marvel Universe and DC; and he loved all things Star Wars.
Predeceased by his mom and dad, and a brother, Steven; Todd is survived by his sister, Cathy J. (Russ) Johnson, of Navarre; nieces, Heidi (Eric) Seal, Shannon (Merv) Miller, Jennifer (Michael) Niedermayer, and nephew, Mike Archinal. He was a great-uncle to Amanda (Cody) Hodge, Kiley Seal, Landyn Seal and Caleb Miller; and a great-grand-uncle to Eric Hodge. Also surviving are several good friends, former shipmates, and fellow veterans.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Todd’s life will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 12 Noon - 4:00 p.m. at Sugarcreek Valley Coon Club, 11104 Lawndell Road SW, Navarre, Ohio 44662. A military honors ceremony will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. BYOB - pop and water will be provided.
