Thomas Moore Obituary

Thomas D. Moore, 65, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly, at his home Saturday afternoon, December 12, 2020.  Born in Massillon, January 17, 1955, a son and the youngest of nine children born to the late Willard and Anna (Cox) Moore, Tom graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1973.  He retired from the Timken Company in 2005, following 32 years of faithful service.

A life-long fan of Tiger Football, Tom was also a shareholder in the NFL’s Green Bay Packers.  He loved watching movies of all kinds and had a great collection of them on dvd’s that he liked to rate, review and catalogue.  He also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles; gardening and landscaping – and spoiling his grandchildren.

Predeceased by his parents; siblings, Mary Rager, Margaret Whitcomb, Thelma Moore, Donna Whitaker, James and Willard Moore; Tom is survived by the family he so dearly loved: his best friend and wife of 42 years, Linda K. (Storz) Moore, of the home; their daughters, Tracy (Joe) Merrick, of Canton, Shelly McCombs, of Marion, Ohio and Brandy (Danny) Riordan, of Massillon; their grandchildren, Sara, Jessica, Jamie and Owen – each one their grandpa’s pride and joy; his brothers, Robert (Sue) and Mike (Gloria) Moore and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place, according to Tom’s wishes and no immediate services are planned.  The family will mark his passing with a celebration of his life at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.  Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added to our on-line guestbook at, www.atkinsonfeucht.com.
