Susan Joy Baltzer, of Navarre, formerly of Massillon, passed away gently, early Tuesday morning, November 25, 2025, just a day after marking her 74th birthday. Born in Massillon, a daughter to the late Cloyd and Margaret Singhass, Susan graduated from Tuslaw High School with the Class of 1969. She worked at several different jobs during her work-life and especially enjoyed the time spent working in the kitchen and dining rooms of the Massillon Woman’s Club in the early 1990’s. She was also a frequent craft exhibitor/vendor at the annual Yankee Peddler Festival at Clay’s Park. In her leisure time Susan loved the outdoors, tending her flower gardens, working in the yard, craft artistry and reading. She had a special love for animals, especially dogs – including her latest fur-buddy, Jan’s dog, Sherman.
Predeceased by her mom and dad, and her husband, Ronald L. “Ronnie” Baltzer; Susan is survived by her sisters, Mary (Wayne) Brown, Nancy (Steve) Williams and Jan Singhass, brothers, Cloyd and Carl Singhass, and several dear nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and the family will conduct a private ceremony at a later date. Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Navarre has been entrusted with immediate arrangements. Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added here to Susan’s on-line guestbook.
