Shirley Ann (Princehorn) Wadian

Shirley A. Wadian, 91, of Massillon, passed away peacefully, late Saturday evening, April 13, 2024.  Born in Massillon, June 19, 1932, a daughter to the late Chalmer and Florence (Lerch) Princehorn, Shirley graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1950.  A “people person,” and no stranger to hard work, she liked people and liked keeping busy.  Her work history included several different kinds of jobs with a number of local employers, most notably, Century Products, the former Coffee Cup Restaurant, and Little Caesars Pizza while it was still inside the old Massillon K-Mart.  A member of St. Mary’s Church in Massillon, Shirley was also a loving and supportive full-time mom, grandma, and great-grandma – and a full-time dog mom to a succession of much-loved Beagles, who shared her home and her company over the years.  In her leisure time she enjoyed listening to music of all kinds, whether indoors or out; and she enjoyed playing popular computer games.

Predeceased by her parents; a son, Gary Wadian; her sister, Nancy Davis, and brother, Robert Princehorn; Shirley is survived by her children, Kathy Miller, Karen Crowe, Ron (Joan) Wadian, and Tim (Anne) Wadian, all of Massillon.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.  Deacon Steve Wyles of Divine Mercy Parish will officiate, and  a private burial will follow.  The family will receive condolences one hour prior to the services, from 10-11:00 a.m., Thursday morning in the funeral home.
