Sarah Myers Obituary

Sarah L. Myers, 89, of Massillon, passed away peacefully, Friday morning, February 14, 2025.  Born in Jacksonburg, West Virginia, December 16, 1935, a daughter to the late Ezra and Martha (Coen) Ash, Sarah went by a few names – “Judie” to her friends and family, but also Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma to those who loved her the most.  Judie was a homemaker – and by that, we mean she made our house a home.  She dedicated her life to her family and had a special place in her heart for the little kids.  Judie was married to Raymond “Clyde” Myers for 61 years.  Some of their best times were going back to West Virginia and hitting some flea markets with her sister – and best friend, “Toots,” and her husband, Roy Ice.  Judie was a great cook and made the best burgers and fries around!  She enjoyed planting flowers, especially rose bushes, going to the casino to play the slots, and spending time with family and their long-time neighbors, Nick and Frieda Spao.  God has taken one of the good ones home.

Predeceased by her parents, her husband, Raymond C. Myers, and daughter, Sharon (Drennen) Stuck; Sarah is survived by her daughter, Vickie (Jerry) Wayman, of Massillon, and son, Steve (Janet) Myers, of Rock Bridge, Ohio; grandchildren, Tracy (Chad) Jenkins, J.R. (Jessica) Drennen, Joe Myers, Mellisa Myers, and Chelsea (Joe) Scharver; great-grandchildren, Blake and Brock Jenkins, Nevaeah and Ronnie Drennen, Aven Myers and Ezra Scharver: and her sister, Cathleen “Toots” Ice.

The family will mark Sarah’s passing with a private funeral service and burial.  They wish to extend a special “thank you” to the staff of Allay Senior Care of Meyers Lake and Crossroads Hospice and have also suggested memorial contributions to Allay Senior Care of Meyers Lake.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.  Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added here to Sarah’s on-line guestbook.
