Sally Rae (McManus) Goss

Sally Rae Goss, 77, of Massillon, beloved wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her home and with her family at her side, on Thursday afternoon, March 4, 2021.  Born in Washington, Pennsylvania, July 26, 1943, a daughter to the late Edgar and Stella (Beall) McManus, Sally was a Massillon resident throughout her married life.  She retired from the former Massillon Kmart store and was also a licensed cosmetologist.  But it was in her roles as a wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma and homemaker that she really excelled!  She placed her husband and family at the center of her life and with quiet faith and perseverance, created a warm and welcoming home, filled with laughter and happy memories.  She loved to travel; enjoyed long drives with her husband and going out to eat with her family or with friends.  She liked hummingbirds and dancing to country-western music.  Sally and her husband even recently started guitar lessons together at Hummingbird Music Studio in Sugarcreek.  And then there was her doll collection!

Predeceased by her parents; Sally is survived by her best friend and husband of 55 years, Larry E. Goss, of the home; her daughters, Michelle R. Bing, of Perry Twp. and Kimmie J. Critchfield, of Massillon, and her son, Harry A. (Pam) McKinney, also of Massillon; her grandchildren, Nicole (Aric) Smith, of Perry Twp., Jeremy McKinney, of Massillon, Jessica (Tom) Gerber, of North Canton, Jordan (Kelley) McKinney, of Canton, Jakob, Joshua and Zachary Critchfield, also of Massillon and Leah Seesan, of Vinton, Ohio.  Also surviving are three great-grandchildren; her sisters, Mrs. Debra Miller, of Canton and Mrs. Ruth Wiggins, of Massillon; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.  Rev. Gary Smith will officiate, and burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery.  The family will receive condolences one hour prior to the services, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., in the funeral home.  For those attending, face coverings are essential and social distancing protocols will be observed.  Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added to our on-line guestbook at www.atkinsonfeucht.com.
