Ryan Lee Hay, 50, of New Franklin, formerly of Navarre, passed away this past Monday morning, December 6, 2021. Born in Massillon, November 11, 1971, a son to Richard and Janet (Arnold) Hay Fankhauser, Ryan grew up in Navarre with his three sisters, and graduated from Fairless High School with the Class of 1990. He was a hard worker and determined to care for his family. He was a loving and supportive dad to his own children and a fatherly figure to children in his extended family and close friends. He was a Christian who found true strength through his walk with the Lord. He loved exploring the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was passionate about mastering the guitar and weightlifting. Above all, Ryan was defined by his many triumphs during his 27-year long fight with cancer. With the help of the Lord, he remained a warrior till the end and was always grateful for his friends and loved ones.
Preceded in death by his father, Richard Hay; and sister, Julie Hay Fulton; Ryan is survived by his son, Donnie Hay, daughter, Deanna Hay, and step-son, Daniel Dorman; his fiancée, Shannon Lamb; his mother, Janet Fankhauser; sisters, Anita Hay and Erin (Kyle) Tharp; brother-in-law, Todd Fulton; niece, Olivia and nephew, Matt. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. Ryan’s family and friends will mark his passing and celebrate his life with a gathering planned for a later date.
