Russell Lee “Rusty” Moore II, 69, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly, of natural causes, at his home, early Friday morning, November 28, 2025. Born in Massillon, January 16, 1956, a son to the late Russell and Caroline (Bryce) Moore, Rusty completed his GED and had worked for several area firms before heading west to Colorado and Arizona where he’d lived for about eight years. Returning to Massillon, he was most recently employed as a route driver for Avalon Foodservice in Canal Fulton, until a medical retirement was recommended due to concerns for his physical health.
Rusty preferred a simple, private lifestyle. When he wanted company, he turned to his family, or his best friend, Butch Fribley. But mostly kept to himself. He enjoyed music and was an accomplished guitarist who taught himself how to play. In his leisure time, as his health allowed, he also loved to travel.
Predeceased by his parents, a niece, Erin Owens Ramey, a nephew, Scott Stevens, and a brother-in-law, Stanley Owens; Rusty is survived by his sisters, Cindy (Dutch) Stevens and Angie (Pat) Epler, and half-sisters, Mary Helen (Tom) Owens and Becky Owens, and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, Rusty will be cremated, and the family will mark his passing privately. Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon has been entrusted with immediate arrangements. Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added here to Rusty’s on-line guestbook.
