Ronald Willard Fogle

Ronald W. Fogle, 87, of Massillon, passed away peacefully, in the company of his family, Saturday afternoon, February 22, 2025.  Born in Caldwell, Ohio, November 18, 1937, a son to the late Willard and Mary (Danforth) Fogle, Ron graduated from Massillon Washington High School with the Class of 1955.  He received his bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a concentration in mathematics, from Miami University.  His ambition had always been to teach, and so began a professional career that included 31 years with Massillon City Schools at the former Lorin Andrews Junior High School. 

A devoted husband and a loving and supportive dad and grandpa, Ron was an active member of Central Presbyterian Church in Massillon.  As a man of faith, he strove to be a responsible steward of all he had been given.  A fan of all Massillon Tiger sports teams, he especially looked forward to football season and was a season ticket holder for 62 years!  He also loved to travel.  He and Marilyn had visited all 50 states and were working their way around the world together.  He loved to golf; was a great fan of the Cleveland Indians, and was learning to like the Guardians.  Many cherished family memories were made during summers enjoying lake life at Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island.

Predeceased by his parents, and sisters, Marilyn Rebillot and Norma Ashbaugh; Ron is survived by his wife and best friend of 61 years, Marilyn (Kiplinger) Fogle, their children, Kelly Fogle and Jeff (Danelle) Fogle; and grandchildren, Colten and Cooper Bonk, and Zack, Hayden, and Delaney Fogle.

Family and friends will join with Pastor Roger Sibert at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Central Presbyterian Church in celebration of Ron’s life.  Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in Canton.  The family will receive condolences on Friday evening, February 28, 2025, from 5-7:00 p.m., and prior to the services on Saturday morning from 10-10:45 a.m. at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.  Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added here to Ron's on-line guestbook.
