Ronald R. Angerer, 79, of Navarre, passed away peacefully at his residence early Saturday morning, June 23, 2018. Born in Massillon, April 7, 1939, a son to the late Louis and Mary (Butz) Angerer, Ron graduated from the former Navarre High School with the Class of 1957. He earned his living as an over-the-road driver with Yellow Freight Lines, retiring in 2003 after more than twenty years of safe and loyal service. He also fulfilled the same commitment to his neighbors in Navarre, serving even from his high school days, as a member of the Bethlehem Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. A faithful and active member of Sandy Valley Baptist Temple, Ron kept busy even in his retirement. A devoted husband and dad and a loyal and genuine friend, he got a kick out of gently teasing and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and looked forward to including them on motorcycle rides, going fishing, bowling, playing euchre or just relaxing together.
Predeceased by his parents; sisters, Bettie, Marian and Norma; brother Bennie and son-in-law, Scott Beatty; Ron is survived by his wife, Charlotte L. (Eddleblute) Angerer and their children, Rhonda (Sam) Nicewander, of Navarre, Laura Marie Beatty and William Owens, of Sonoma, Texas and Ronald (Christine) Angerer, of Massillon; grandchildren, Kimberlynn (Marcus) Adams, Stephanie (Greg) Donahue, Jennifer (Cody) Parker and Andrew Nicewander. There are seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Navarre. Pastor Matt Smith of Sandy Valley Baptist Temple will officiate and burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in North Canton. The family will receive condolences on Tuesday evening, June 26, from 6-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday morning, from 10-11:00 in the funeral home. They have also suggested memorial contributions to advance the mission and ministry of Sandy Valley Baptist Temple, 530 Elson St., Magnolia, Ohio 44643.
