Roberta Kay "Bobbie" (Bowers) Miculan

Roberta Kay “Bobbie” Miculan, 72, of Massillon, a devoted wife, loving mom and grandma and a dear sister, passed away peacefully at her home while surrounded by her family, early Wednesday morning, August 30, 2017.  She had fought a courageous battle with leukemia for over 14 years without compromise or complaint.  Born in Canton, February 28, 1945, a daughter to the late Robert O. and Evelyn E. (Hinder) Bowers, Bobbie graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1963.  She worked several different jobs including nearly 25 years as a nurse’s aide at Aultman Hospital before retiring in 1995.  She and her sisters loved to shop for antiques and Bobbie loved animals – especially her doggies!  A member of Faith Lutheran Church in Massillon, her life centered on her husband, her children, her grandchildren and her fur babies.  She created a safe and loving home for all of them.  She’ll also be remembered for her free spirit and her love of the oceans and warm sands.
Preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Carol Jean Bowers; Bobbie is survived by her husband, Scot A. Miculan and her children, Michael (Jennie) Scott, Steven (Karla) Scott and Lori Scott Mahoney, all of the area; her grandchildren, Kellie and Brandon Mahoney, Emma Scott and Kailey Krider; her sister, Elaine (William) Schwartz; brothers-in-law, Craig (Cyndie) Miculan, Todd (Erin) Beavers and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.  Pastor Emily Seitz will officiate and burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening, September 5, from 5-7:00 p.m.
