Robert (Bob) Lind, 86, lost his battle with Lewy Body Dementia, September 3, 2021. A loving husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend; he will be missed.
Bob was born in Navarre, Ohio on June 21, 1935 and was married to his loving wife, Donna, in 1955. He worked for Republic Steel for 30 years, retiring at the age of 48. Bob and Donna enjoyed their retirement in Florida in the Venice and Englewood area for 34 years. They spent their free time doing the things they loved best: square dancing and traveling. Four years ago, they moved back to Ohio and resided in North Canton.
Bob had a full life with the love of his family, camping, water skiing, fishing, traveling, and square dancing. Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Cleo (Mase) Lind; sister, Janet Baker, and son-in-law, Chuck Ross, Bob is survived by his wife, Donna; daughters Debra (Dave) Burky and Glenda Ross; grandchildren Laura (Josh) Keller, Jessica (Ben) Soehnlen, David (Ashley) Burky Jr., Destiny Ross and Bobby Ross; 6 great-grandchildren; his brother, Bill (Barbara) Lind; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Navarre. Pastor Scott Calhoun will officiate and burial will follow in East Union Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive condolences from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, in the funeral home. The family has suggested memorial contributions made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Mercy Hospice Care.
