Randy L. Harp, 53, of Navarre, passed away unexpectedly, of natural causes, at his home, on Sunday evening, July 6, 2025. Born in Massillon, March 10, 1972, a son to Wayne “Bud” and Wendy (Wazlavek) Harp, Randy was a graduate of Fairless High School with the Class of 1990. He had worked as a line supervisor at Clinton Aluminum in Clinton, Ohio, and more recently, as a driver with Robert Owen Trucking in Navarre.
A loving and supportive dad, a mischievous and fun-loving grandpa and brother, and a loyal and generous friend, Randy always looked forward to having family and friends around – for a cookout, at the holidays, or just to hang out in the garage or watch TV. And his granddaughters were the apple of his eye. He loved them dearly and made time for them as often as he could. Randy grew up following his dad as Bud competed at various local, state and out-of-state drag racetracks. When his turn came, Randy relied on the Plymouth brand and Mopar equipment as he competed in traditional drag and bracket racing. He thrived in the track atmosphere and even among competitors, made many lasting friendships with fellow drivers and mechanics, inspiring and educating another generation of motorsports enthusiasts in his family and extended family. Aside from track-life, he enjoyed hunting and the outdoors and playing darts.
Predeceased by his dad, Randy is survived by his daughter, Shelby (Bryce) Mohn, of North Canton, and son, Cody Harp (and fiancée Teri Wellman), of Massillon; granddaughters, Addison, Ella, and Hattie; his brothers, David Harp (and Karen Smith), and Troy (Emily) Harp, all of the area; his mother, Wendy Harp; and former wife, Jennifer (Gainey) Harp.
No formal services are planned. Following cremation, family and friends will gather in celebration of Randy’s life at 2:00, Sunday afternoon, July 20, 2025, at the Navarre Civic Center, 99 Canal Street West, Navarre, Ohio 44662. Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home has been entrusted with immediate arrangements. Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added here to Randy’s on-line guestbook or at www.atkinsonfeucht.com.
