Randolph Miller Obituary

Randolph W. Miller, 80, of Massillon, passed away early Wednesday morning, February 12, 2025.  Born in Massillon, July 7, 1944, a son to the late Jesse and Marcia (Koch) Miller, Randy graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1963.  Most of his professional career was spent in the offices and on the production floors of the former Enduro Stainless Division of Republic Steel Corp., later LTV Steel, in Massillon, until his retirement following more than 30 years of service.

In his younger days, Randy enjoyed bowling and became a skilled competitor, receiving trophies and recognition in both individual and league tournament play.  Throughout his life he loved sport fishing, especially Bass fishing from his own boat, either by himself or with friends.  More recently he had fun using a metal detector to discover coins and other small artifacts, then delving into some historical research to validate the worth of what he found.

As a single person, he was also a devoted caregiver, supporting and seeing to the needs of his mom, in the home they shared, as she aged, and her health declined.

A beloved son, brother, uncle, and cousin, and a loyal friend, Randy is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Sally Ann Miller Hindley; he is survived by his sister, Donna D. Miller, and niece, Carrie Arney, both of Perry Township, and nephews, Kristopher (Jessica) Koskovich, of North Canton, Adam Hindley, Marc (Linda) Hindley, and Matt Hindley, all of Massillon.  Also surviving are seven great-nieces, five great-nephews, three great-great-nephews, a great-great-niece, several other relatives and some very good friends.

The family will receive condolences and share stories and memories at an open house visitation from 4-5:00 p.m., Monday, February 17, 2025, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.  A private burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added here to Randy’s on-line guestbook.
