Marjorie Joan Lamb

Marjorie Joan Lamb, 78, of Canton, passed away peacefully, Sunday afternoon, December 6, 2020.  Born in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, March 28, 1942, Joan was reared by her adoptive parents, her aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Harry Grafton.  They relocated to Massillon and Joan graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1960.  She worked for a time as the showroom receptionist for Progressive Chevrolet when the dealership was located at the foot of the Lincoln Way viaduct.  A devoted wife and a loving and supportive mom, grandma and great-grandma, Joan placed her husband and family at the center of her life.  She knew the Lord as her Savior and walked with him daily.  A terrific cook, baker and housekeeper, the home she created was a place of warmth and welcome and she always met you at the door with a smile.  A former member of  St. John's United Church of Christ in Massillon, Joan had been attending Calvary Church in Canton for the past several years and was a regular volunteer in the nursery there.

Predeceased by her parents and five siblings; Joan is survived by her best friend and husband of 57 years, Max Lamb, of the home; their daughter, Jodi (Marc) Davis, of Canton and son, Bob (Deanna) Lamb, of Haskins, Ohio.  Six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Donna Szafranski and many, many beloved nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.  The family will receive condolences one hour prior to the service, from 1-2:00 p.m., in the funeral home.  Pastor Brad Myers will officiate, and a private burial will follow.  For those attending, face masks are required and social distancing protocols will be strictly observed.  Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added to our on-line guestbook at, www.atkinsonfeucht.com.
