Marjorie Frances (Graef) King

Marjorie F. King, 92, of Navarre, passed away quietly, with her family at her side, on Saturday morning, February 13, 2021.  Born March 1, 1928, in Strasburg, Ohio, a daughter to the late Raymond and Olive (Leach) Graef, Marjorie worked for a time at Mid’s (Homestyle Spaghetti Sauce) but was very much a full-time wife, mom and homemaker.  A member of Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church, she was indeed, a devoted wife and a loving and supportive mom, grandma and great-grandma.  Her life and her interests centered on her husband and the family.  She was always there for them and brought her energy and imagination, her unique sense of humor - even her occasional lapses of “political correctness” and her “gift” for plain speaking - to everything she did.  And always with much love.

Predeceased by her parents; sister, Ruth Graef Sterner; and her husband of 60 years, Ezra E. King; Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Susan (Jack) Stantz, of Navarre and son, Gene (Jane) King, of Dalton.  Also surviving are her grandsons, Shane (Sherri) and Shawn (Michelle) Stantz and Ross (Alexis) and Eric (Lindsay) King; and six great-grandsons.

The family will mark Marjorie’s passing with a private service conducted at the graveside at Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre.  Pastor Carl Kandel of Fohl Memorial UMC will officiate.  There are no calling hours.  The family has requested no additional flowers however, memorial contributions are suggested to either Fohl Memorial UMC, 121 Basin Street NW, Navarre, Ohio  44662 or the Fairless Food Cupboard, PO Box 302, Beach City, Ohio  44608.
