Lester J. Fulk, 88, of Massillon, passed away quietly on Wednesday morning, November 11, 2020. Born July 5, 1932, in Kingwood, Preston County, West Virginia, a son to the late Willard and Ruth (Trickett) Fulk, Lester enlisted in the US Army and served honorably in the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean Conflict. Later, he worked until his retirement as a set-up mechanic for the former Central States Can Company - now Crown Cork & Seal, in Massillon.
A humble man of quiet faith, Lester lived simply and placed those he loved at the center of his life. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed keeping current with WVU Mountaineer football.
Preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and his dear friend and companion, Lois Dodd; Lester is survived by his sons, Dale, Bradley (Carla) and Doug (Dawn) Fulk, all of the area. Also surviving are his six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two half-brothers, Jeff Fulk, of Cleveland, Ohio and Terry Fulk, of Morgantown, West Virginia.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and burial with military honors will be conducted at 11:00 Tuesday morning, November 17, 2020, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted to Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.
