Leona Mae (Yeater) Bunner

Leona Mae Bunner, 76, of Navarre, passed away quietly, at her home, and in the company of her family, early Saturday morning, August 5, 2023.  Born December 14, 1946, in Greenwood, West Virginia, to the late Simon and Mearl (Doak) Yeater, Leona graduated from Pennsboro High School.  She spent most of her married life in the Navarre area.  Leona was a homemaker and a full-time mom to her three children, who, along with her husband, occupied the center of her life.  She was a devoted wife and a loving and supportive mom and grandma who found joy in living simply, keeping close to home, and doing all she could for her family.  She enjoyed the company of a few close friends and several cats with whom she shared her home. 

Predeceased by her parents; and her husband, Richard L. “Larry” Bunner; Leona is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Jim) Hudy, of Navarre, and sons, Greg (Denise) Bunner, of North Canton, and Brian Bunner, also of Navarre; and her granddaughter, Jenna Bunner. 

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday evening, August 9, 2023, from 5-7:00 p.m. at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Navarre.  Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 10.  Burial will follow at East Union Lawn Cemetery.  Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added to her on-line guestbook at www.atkinsonfeucht.com.
