Laverne Kay (Long) Geyer

Laverne Kay Geyer, 75, of Massillon, passed away quietly early Monday morning, October 15, 2018.  Born in Canton, March 1, 1943, a daughter to the late Lewis C. and Eva Mae (Blythe) Long, Laverne graduated from the former Glenwood High School with the Class of 1961 and had worked as a nurse’s aide at Shady Lawn Health Care Community in Dalton.

A devoted wife and a loving mom and grandma, Laverne is predeceased by her parents; her husband, John Geyer and daughter, Christine Schran.  She is survived by her son, Michael Geyer (and Ruth Hendricks) of Navarre, and her grandchildren, Andrew, Aly, Gabby, Josh and Kat.

Cremation has taken place and services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.
