Lauretta A. Elliott, 76, of Navarre, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, August 5, 2021. She was born on July 16, 1945, in Bolivar, Ohio to the late Chester and Evelyn (Agnes) Gilbert. Lauretta attended Stark State College and returned to academics throughout her life. She had worked as a secretary for several businesses over the years and had been a parishioner of St. Clement Holy Family Church in Navarre, Ohio.
When not working as a secretary or pursuing her passion for learning, Lauretta could be found flexing her green thumb in her garden. She especially loved sewing, crocheting, and woodworking. Lauretta was also involved within the Garden Club of Navarre, as well as the communities of Quarry Ridge and Chapel Hill.
Preceded in death by her parents, Lauretta is survived by her beloved son, John Elliot of North Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Connie (Michael, Sr) Compan of North Point, Florida; nephew, Ryan (Stacey) Smith of Canal Fulton, Ohio; and her 3 grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place in accordance with the family’s wishes and no services are scheduled at this time. Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon has been entrusted with arrangements. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Chapel Hill Community for their excellent care and professionalism. Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added to our on-line guestbook at www.atkinsonfeucht.com.
