Kenneth C. Hostetler, 91, of Navarre, passed away Saturday morning, January 15, 2022, following a life of service to his Creator, his family, and his community. Born in Sugarcreek, Ohio, February 8, 1930, a son to the late Alvin and Verna (Bitikofer) Hostetler, Ken graduated from the former Navarre High School with the Class of 1948. Most of his professional career was spent with Nickles Bakery where he retired as fleet maintenance superintendent following 41 years of dedicated service. He had served with the Navarre Village Fire Department – including several years as chief; and was also a Navarre Auxiliary Police Patrolman. A member of Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church, Ken was a devoted husband and a loving and supportive dad, grandpa and great-grandpa who placed his wife and family at the center of his life. He was a gifted mechanic, full of practical knowledge, skilled with his hands, and could fix anything. His best relaxation was time spent enjoying his family.
Preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Blanche E. (Nofsinger) Hostetler; son Rodney K. Hostetler and brothers, Dennis and Larry Hostetler; Ken is survived by his daughter, Sandy (Stan) Vogel and son, Bruce (Cathy) Hostetler, all of Navarre; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Ken’s family will mark his passing with a private memorial service and burial. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home. Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added to our on-line guestbook at www.atkinsonfeucht.com.
