June Ellen Guest

June E. Guest, 72, of Jackson Township, passed away unexpectedly, while at home, on Thursday, August 8, 2024.  Born in Massillon, January 19, 1952, to the late Donald and Thelma (Bowers) Guest, June was a life-long resident of Jackson Township.  She graduated from Jackson Memorial High School with the Class of 1970, and from Kent State University in 1974.  In 2005, following 31 years of faithful service, June retired from the former Republic Steel Corp. in Massillon.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and a member of the church’s Patterns for Prayer Group, a crochet/knit/sewing group specializing in making prayer shawls, hats, and scarves.  As a loving daughter and their only child, June devoted herself to the care of her parents through each stage of their lives. 

She loved shopping and dining with her friends; she enjoyed gardening, baking, reading, crocheting, and spending time with her beloved dogs.

June’s dear friends will gather in remembrance and celebration of her life, at 11:00 Tuesday morning, August 13, 2024, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.  An hour of visitation will precede the service, from 10-11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.  Rev. Ash Welch, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church will officiate, and a private burial will follow.
