Joseph Boyd “Jack” Thompson, 91, of Springfield, more recently of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away quietly early Saturday morning, May 12, 2018. Born September 6, 1926, in Xenia, Ohio, a son to the late Clay and Maryann (Herron) Thompson, Jack was a retired farmer. He was a graduate of the Ohio State University and an honorably discharged Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.

Predeceased by his parents; brother, Charles Thompson and sister, Mary Thompson Rice; Jack is survived by his sister, Helen Thompson Reed and several nieces and nephews.

No formal services have been scheduled. Cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.
