Jordan N. Montgomery, 27, of Navarre, passed away tragically and very unexpectedly on Thursday afternoon, January 23, 2020. Born in Steubenville, Ohio, January 24, 1992, a daughter to Rick and Cassie (Burns) Montgomery, Jordan was homeschooled through grade twelve. She and her mom more recently attended Brown Mackie College together and each completed their associate degree as Medical Assistants. Jordan was currently working as an assistant manager and cashier at the Dollar General store in Bolivar. She liked to play basketball and enjoyed painting and craft projects; enjoyed the company of family and extended family but the light of her life was her daughter, Mahkena. Jordan worked hard at being a good mom and with the help of family and friends, making decisions that created a safe, fun and wholesome life for her and her daughter.
Predeceased by her maternal grandpa, Jerry W. Deruelle, Jordan is survived by her daughter, Mahkena Messer; her parents; brother, David Baldwin, of the home; her maternal grandma, Mrs. Carol Deruelle, of Kilgore, Ohio; Mahkena's father, Dustin Messer and his family; and an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and treasured friends.
No formal services are scheduled. The family will receive condolences at an open house visitation from 2-4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, January 26, 2020, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Navarre.
