Jerry E. Buck, Sr.

Jerry E. Buck Sr., 83, of Navarre, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 17, 2023.  Jerry was born on October 10, 1939, in Hickman, Kentucky to George Chaney Buck Jr. and Jeanette (Tibbs) Buck.  When Jerry was five, the Buck family moved to Navarre, where they built, owned, and operated the Pinky’s Kremeland ice cream shop and Christmas tree stand.  He graduated from Navarre High School in 1957, and attended Ohio University, College of Wooster, and Northwestern University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1965.  Jerry started his career as a salesperson for B.F. Goodrich. In the mid-1960s he moved to IBM, where he climbed the ranks for more than 25 years and served as head of international sales and marketing.  After retiring from IBM, he continued to work in sales as manager of a Cadillac dealership and as an entrepreneur. 

Preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Kimberly Anne Buck, his son, Jerry E. Buck Jr.; his brother, George Chaney Buck III; and his wife of 25 years, Angelica E. Ibarguen.  Jerry is survived by his daughter Callene Arthen (Buck) Momtazee, his sisters Judith Anne (Buck) Hanley and Carol Maye (Buck) Hilbert, his first wife Beth Arthen Wood; 11 grandchildren and great grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
