Jeanne Marie (Long) Miller

Jeanne Marie Miller, 86, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024. Jeanne was born on February 10, 1938, to James and Marie Long in Akron, Ohio. After graduating from Howard Vocational High School as a seamstress in 1956, she started a family with her late husband, Richard David Miller. Shortly after, they moved to Jackson Township, Ohio, to raise their family.

Jeanne was well known in the Jackson Township community. She worked at Zink’s Dairy, owned and operated Wales Inn bar, and worked at Higbee’s restaurant at the Belden Village Mall until its closing. Most recently she owned and operated Select and Send until her retirement in 2023.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard David Miller, her daughter, Mary Essig, and her brother Jimmy Long. She is survived by her six children, Carol (Denis) Coler, David Miller, Robert (Cindy) Miller, Richard (Bernice) Miller Sr., Steven (Sandy) Miller, and Barbara (Richard) LeBoeuf; her seven grandchildren, Kevin Fowler, Richard Miller Jr, Angela Miller, Kristy Shull, Brooke Hodge, Dillon Blythe, and Andrew LeBoeuf; and her eleven great-grandchildren; her brother Rick (Pat) Long, sister, Sandy (Mark) Watkins; cousin, Linda Cooper; several nieces and nephews; and a long list of great friends.
