Janice L. Enos, 81, of Perry Township, passed away peacefully, late Tuesday evening, December 22, 2021. Born in Massillon, January 14, 1940, a daughter to the late Paul Weirich and Doris Hauger, Janice graduated from the former Brewster High School with the Class of 1958. An area resident her entire life, Janice attended Faith Community Fellowship Church. She had worked as a cashier at the former Massillon K-mart and had been a lunch monitor at Perry High School. A devoted wife and a loving mom, grandma and great-grandma, Janice preferred a lifestyle that was uniquely her own, enjoying the company of her family and just a few close friends. After retiring, and while her health allowed, she was a regular volunteer with several area agencies, providing transportation or delivering groceries or medicine to those who were homebound. When she felt like getting out, she got a kick out of playing the lottery, playing B-I-N-G-O, and visiting the casinos to try her luck on the slot machines.
Preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 41 years, David G. Enos; Janice is survived by her children, Brian D. (Tammy) Enos, Lauri M. Kennedy and Jeffrey A. Enos, all of the area; and her grandchildren, Christopher (Holly), Scott, Ryan (Danielle), Natalie (Paul), Travis, Joshua (Jacy) and Marissa. Also surviving are her 10 great-grandchildren, and her brothers, Gary Masters and Larry Weirich. Funeral services will be conducted at the noon hour on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon. Pastor Michael Kager will officiate, and a private burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive condolences for one hour prior to the funeral, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. The family has also suggested memorial contributions made directly in care of the funeral home to assist with their mother’s final expenses.
