Harvey Ray Otto, 84, most recently of Navarre, Ohio, passed away on May 30, 2026. He was born on February 23, 1942, in Fredricksburg, Ohio. He was the son of the late Menno N. and Sovilla (Miller) Otto. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Zelma Mae (Paulus) Otto whom he married on August 25, 1984. He is also survived by two daughters, Sarah Otto and Rhonda (Nathan) Hunting and 4 grandchildren Kyla, Colten, Camden and Kaisha Hunting. He is survived by 4 sisters Mary Bixler, Nora Rogers, Dora Yoder and Barbara (Lawrence) Eby and a brother in law, Mervin Mullet. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Magdalena Mullet and 2 brother-in-laws, Vilas Bixler and Albert Yoder. He attended Calvary Holiness Church in Apple Creek, Ohio, most of his married life. Harvey and his wife raised their family outside of Massillon, Ohio, where they lived until they could no longer care for themselves. They then resided with their oldest daughter. In February of 2025, it became necessary for Harvey to move into a nursing facility in Navarre, Ohio. For work, he had several different jobs. His last job was transporting Amish, which he enjoyed.
Calling hours will be at the Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon, Ohio, on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 5:30-7:30pm.
Funeral services will be at Kidron Mennonite Church at 12:30pm, a one hour viewing time will be at 11:30am.
Burial will take place at Fairlawn Mennonite Church Cemetery following the funeral service.
