Harry William “Bill” Bryan, Jr., 78, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly, of natural causes, at his home, early Wednesday morning, August 17, 2022. Born in Massillon, May 3, 1944, a son to the late Harry W. and Eileen M. (Fenton) Bryan, Sr., Bill completed his GED while serving honorably in the US Navy at the start of the Vietnam Era.
The former owner of Massillon Sewing Center, he more recently operated Bill Bryan Mobile Sewing Machine Repair Co.
Catholic by faith, he attended St. Joseph’s Church in Massillon.
In his leisure time, Bill enjoyed owning and restoring classic and antique cars, boats, and motorcycles. He loved riding his Harley whether the trip was down to the corner or across the country; and he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and tending his backyard gardens.
Predeceased by his parents; his wife, Caroline (Stuhldreher) Bryan; and an infant brother, Frank Bryan; Bill is survived by his sister, Jannet Jamison, with whom he shared his home. A beloved niece, Yolanda “Poor Girl” Harper, also survives, together with several more nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Massillon. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive condolences Tuesday evening, August 23, 2022, from 6-7:30 p.m., at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.
