Gary William Schultz

Gary W. Schultz, 67, of Massillon, passed away late Tuesday evening, September 20, 2022.  Born December 26, 1954, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a son to William J. and Betty J. (Vernon) Schultz, Gary served honorably and with distinction in the US Army during the final years of the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal.  A resident of Massillon for the past several years, Gary enjoyed making the rounds of area flea markets and garage sales, buying and reconditioning hand tools of all kinds and making them available for sale once again.  He liked to relax by playing pool and spending quality time with his family. 

Predeceased by his dad; his brother, Bobby; and his beloved wife of 35 years, Andrea J. (Adams) Schultz, who passed away in May of 2021; Gary is survived by his children, Dwane Umbarger, of Canton, and Julie, Roy and Peter Umbarger, of Massillon; his mother, Betty Schultz, of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and his sisters, Linda and Barbara.
