Gary L. Boggs, 68, of Massillon, passed away peacefully with his family at his side, on Monday afternoon, July 5, 2021. Born in Canton, December 15, 1952, a son to the late Arnold and Margaret (Keel) Boggs, Gary graduated from Timken Vocational High School with the Class of 1970. He worked as a route delivery driver and retired from Orlando Baking Company in Cleveland . A loving husband and a devoted and supportive dad and grandpa, Gary placed his wife, their three girls and their families at the center of his life. Nothing was more important, and his grandchildren – and great-granddaughter, meant everything to him. In what time he had to call his own, he enjoyed baseball, golf and bowling. He shared his love for rock-‘n-roll and the Beatles with anyone who’d listen, played a mean air guitar, and was a loyal fan of the Indians and the Browns through thick and thin.
Predeceased by his parents and son, Randy P. Tondola, Jr.; Gary is survived by his wife, Sheila (Clay) Boggs; and daughters, Tricia Anne Boggs-Vennetti, Kimberly Marie (Douglas) Devericks and Amber Leigh (Ryan) Kreiger, all of Massillon. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Olivia, Alissa, Andrew, Josie, Sammy, Andrew, Gracin and Lennan; great-granddaughter, Mila; his sister, Dottie (Tom) Pritt, of Canton; a large extended family and a host of treasured friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday evening, July 8, at 7:00 p.m. at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 9, at Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive condolences on Thursday evening prior to the funeral, from 5-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
