Elizabeth A. “Betty” Lint, 83, of Navarre, passed away peacefully, Tuesday evening, September 28, 2021, in the comfort of her daughter’s home, with her husband and family gathered to her side. Born in Portland, Oregon, May 30, 1938, a daughter to the late Frank and Jewel Kerns, Betty had been a Navarre-area resident for much of her adult life. She retired from Nickles Bakery after 25 years of service working on the bakery lines. A devoted wife and a loving and supportive mom, step-mom, grandma and great-grandma, Betty placed her faith and her family at the center of her life and found joy in serving others. The home she created was one full of laughter and happy memories. Betty was an excellent cook and baker – an expert pie baker by all accounts! A faithful member of Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church, she was a prayer warrior and enjoyed the company and inspiration she received from her weekly bible study group. In her leisure time Betty enjoyed birding, reading and gardening; she liked to crochet and took pride in keeping a clean, well-ordered house where anyone was welcome.
Preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Beverly Meyer Arnold; Betty is survived by her husband of 40 years, Donald F. Lint, Sr., of the home; daughters, Debra (Jerry) Fair, of Dover, Terri (Charlie) Shout, of New Philadelphia, and son, James Meyer, of Akron; son-in-law, Robert Arnold; step-daughter, Darelyn Kerns, of Maine; and step-sons, Donald (Karla) Lint, Jr., of Navarre and Randy (Pam) Lint of Florida. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and an extended family of treasured neighbors and friends.
Family and friends will gather with Pastor Carl Kandel in celebration of Betty’s life at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Fohl Memorial UMC in Navarre. The family will receive condolences one hour prior to the service, from 10-11:00 a.m. Saturday morning in the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Navarre. Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added to our on-line guestbook at www.atkinsonfeucht.com.
