Edna Mae Rudolph, 96, of Lawrence Township, with her family gathered to her side, was welcomed home and into the sweet arms of Jesus, Saturday afternoon, November 6, 2021. Born in Massillon, July 17, 1925, a daughter to the late David and Clara (Olmstead) Dunbar, Edna had been an area resident her entire life. A devoted wife and a loving and supportive mom, grandma and great-grandma, she was genuinely a homemaker who placed her husband and family at the center of her life. When it came to her family, Edna considered them “my greatest achievement,” and everything she did was done unselfishly and with a loving touch. A faithful member of Stanwood Community Church, Edna also served her faith community with humility and grace. She did work outside of home too for the former Troy Laundry in the Amherst Shopping Center. She enjoyed sewing and browsing at the Hartville Flea Market.
Predeceased by her parents; her husband, Ralph A. Rudolph; sister, Dorothy Dunbar Rook and brothers, Robert and Howard Dunbar; Edna is survived by her children, Janet (Larry) Stauffer, of Massillon and Ralph (Cathy) Rudolph, of Uniontown; grandchildren, Amy (Matthew) Frantz, Lori Stauffer and Holly (Mark) Frantz; great-grandchildren, Madeline (Gage) Lau, Mollie, Maizie, Luke, Mason and Isaac Frantz; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Norma Byerly, of Kissimmee, Florida and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Stanwood Community Church. Pastor Toby Oaks will officiate and burial will follow at Newman Cemetery. The family will receive condolences one hour prior to the service, from 10-11:00 Thursday morning in the church. They have also suggested contributions in Edna's memory to advance the mission and ministry of Stanwood Community Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon. Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added to our on-line guestbook at www.atkinsonfeucht.com.
