Dianne (Schuster) Edwards, 63, of Massillon, passed away peacefully, while attended by family, early Tuesday morning, July 12, 2022, after a courageous eleven-year battle with cancer. She was born in Massillon, December 4, 1958, to the late John and Patricia (Steele) Schuster. Dianne graduated from Massillon Washington High School with the Class of 1977 and held a degree in Business Administration from the University of Akron Wayne College. She spent most of her career working at Massillon Community Hospital. Dianne had been a resident of Massillon her entire life.
Dianne was a nurturing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a friend to many. Dianne took great pride in raising and watching her three boys grow into successful men, each in their own right. She was not just a mother to her children, but also a best friend. Dianne had a way of leavings an impression on everyone she met and was loved for her ornery nature. Her spirit will be forever immortalized in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to have known and loved her.
Preceded in death by her parents; Dianne is survived by her sons, Joshua (Dayna) Edwards, of Dalton, Jacob Edwards, of Choctaw, Oklahoma, and Michael Edwards (and fiancée Kasondra McGrady), of Perry Township; grandchildren, Mekenzie, Courtney, Dylan, Katelyn and Taylor Edwards; a great-granddaughter, Saylor Horton; and siblings, David (Kathy) Schuster and Billy (Tammy) Fiscus, all of Massillon.
A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon with Pastor Dale Boston officiating. The family will receive condolences one hour prior to the services, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. The family has also suggested memorial contributions made to the American Cancer Society.
