Diane Marie (Geisinger) Herbruck

Diane M. Herbruck, 80, formerly of Massillon, more recently of Navarre, passed away quietly, Sunday evening, August 24, 2025.  Born in Canton, February 25, 1945, a daughter to the late Arthur R. and Hazel M. (Matheson) Geisinger, Diane spent most of her life here in the area.  Throughout her married life she had been a homemaker and a full-time wife and mother, and later worked as a cook at Meadow Wind Health Care Center. 

A devoted wife and a loving and supportive mom and grandma, Diane placed her husband and family at the center of her life.  She created a warm and welcoming home and filled it with happy memories.  She and her late husband, Earl, were both faithful Tiger football fans and held season tickets for nearly 50 years.  Massillon-McKinley weekend was always filled with good-natured teasing and fun as life in “a house divided” had a meaning all its own!  In her leisure time, Diane loved the outdoors.  She enjoyed family fishing trips to Canada and enjoyed hunting too – often outshooting the men on the trip and being the only one to bring home a deer.  Diane had lots of fun playing BINGO and always craved sweets.  Some of her favorites were orange and cherry jelly candies, circus peanuts, Raisinets, Pinwheel cookies, root beer floats and doughnuts.   

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Herbruck, daughter, Christine Herbruck, and son-in-law, Samuel Schaffran; Diane is survived by her daughter, Della Morris-Schaffran, with whom she had resided, her son, Jon (Cathy) Herbruck, an extended family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brother, Robert Geisinger, and her beloved fur pal, Daisy.

Honoring Diane’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal services are scheduled.  The family will announce plans for a memorial at a later date.  Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home has been entrusted with immediate arrangements.  Your memories and condolences are always welcome and maybe added here to Diane’s on-line guestbook.
