Dennis G. Roll, 74, of Jackson Township, passed away quietly, Monday morning, November 1, 2021. Born January 15, 1947, in Lorain, Ohio, a son to the late Robert and Angeline (Meichur) Roll, Denny graduated from Rogers High School in Toledo, Ohio, with the Class of 1965. He attended the University of Toledo and received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity and a number of professional & service organizations. Most of his professional career was spent in the water service industry with more than thirty years invested with the company now known as Aqua Ohio. At the time of his retirement in 2010, he managed the Massillon Water Treatment Plant for Aqua Ohio. He was a devoted husband, a loving and supportive dad and loved his grandsons. He attended Christ Lutheran Church. He loved to fish and loved wood working and gardening.
Predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Daniel; Denny is survived by his best friend and wife of 52 years, Libby E. (Loehrke) Roll, of the home; their sons, Daniel (Kari) Roll, of Columbus and David (Stacey) Roll, of Lakewood; and grandsons, Desmond and Simon Roll. Also surviving are his sister, Pat (Michael) Fox, of Marion, Ohio, brother-in-law, Larry (Jeanne) Loehrke, of Northville, Michigan and a host of beloved nieces and nephews and treasured friends.
In keeping with Denny’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Pastor Nancy Bacon of Christ Lutheran Church will join the family for a private memorial service and inurnment in the mausoleum chapel at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions are suggested to either Christ Lutheran Church or the National Wildlife Federation. Arrangement have been entrusted to Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.
