Dennis Ford Obituary

Dennis H. Ford, 77, of Massillon, passed away peacefully at Aultman Hospital, February 16, 2026.  Born in Massillon on February 28, 1948, to the late Paul and Betty (Romick) Ford, Dennis graduated from Washington High School in 1966.  He served honorably as a corpsman in the United States Navy in Vietnam.  Following his time in the service, he became a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and worked at Aultman Hospital, with a small stint at Mercy Medical Center until his retirement. Continuing his tradition of service, he donated his corneas through Lifebanc.

A devoted husband, loving and supportive dad, and a fun-loving grandpa, Dennis placed his wife and family at the center of his life.  His granddaughters, especially, brought him much joy.  Dennis enjoyed being outdoors fishing, boating, and hiking.  He was also an avid reader.

Predeceased by his parents and his sister, Barbara; Dennis would have celebrated 54 years of marriage in June with his wife Elizabeth (Sabo) Ford.  He is also survived by their sons, Jeffrey (Galina) Ford, of Hopewell Junction, New York, and David (Brittany) Ford, of Wooster, Ohio; three granddaughters, Hailey Lynn, Rose Marie and Lily Ann Ford.

The family will receive condolences and share memories during an open house visitation on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.  Military honors will close the visitation.  Cremation will follow.

The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Noonan Syndrome Foundation.

Memories and condolences may be added here to Dennis’ on-line guestbook.
