David Lee Patterson

David L. Patterson, 66, of Massillon, passed away peacefully in the quiet comfort of his home, with his wife and family at his side, Friday morning, November 10, 2023.  Born in Massillon, August 16, 1957, a son to the late Leon and Edith (Hanna) Patterson, Dave graduated from Fairless High School with the Class of 1975.  Following graduation, he enlisted in the army and completed six years of active and reserve duty, receiving an honorable discharge and earning the rank of Specialist Fourth Class.  In 2018, he retired from Kraft-Heinz Frozen Foods in Massillon, after completing nearly forty years of faithful service.

A devoted husband and a loving, supportive, fun-loving dad and grandpa, Dave placed his wife and family at the center of his life.  He was a “muscle car” enthusiast, most fond of early Ford Mustangs – even owned a few back in the day.  In his leisure time he loved spending time with his family.  He enjoyed traveling, following The OSU Buckeyes and the Browns, and playing board games.  And any time he spent with his grandson brought him special joy.

Predeceased by his parents; a son, Mark; and a brother, Steven; Dave is survived by his wife and best friend of 36 years, Beth Ann (Dickey) Patterson, of the home; their son Aaron Patterson, grandson, Jonathan Patterson, and sister, Pamela (Robert) Lienhard, all of Massillon.

Honoring Dave’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  No formal services are scheduled.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon where your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added here to Dave’s on-line guestbook.
