Carol Sue (Mayle) Hester

Carol S. Hester, 43, of Canton, passed away Wednesday evening, February 3, 2021.  Born in Canton, August 10, 1977, a daughter to the late Chester D. and Marjorie (Betz) Mayle, Sr., Carol graduated from Jackson Memorial High School and worked as a professional caregiver after having first cared for her parents and helped them through their own health, memory and mobility issues.  As a devoted wife and a loving mom and grandma, Carol created a home where anyone was welcome.  She never judged you, and her love for her family and extended family – especially her grandchildren, was always unfailing and unconditional.  So much so that young people who came to visit felt comfortable calling her “mom.”  She was recently attending Friendship Baptist Church in Massillon.

Predeceased by her parents and an infant grandson, Chester D. Mayle III; Carol is survived by her husband, Joseph C. Hester, of the home; daughters, Chelsie Mayle and Kayla and Chloe Hester; grandchildren, Sofia, Izzabell, Kolten, Junior, Makayla, Courtney, Leelen and Kenzie Hester; her siblings, Chester Jr., Timothy and Linda Mayle, Cynthia Barker and Ruby Villegas, Tammy Page and Willie Bissett; an uncle, Ronald Lee Mayle and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday morning, February 10, 2021, from 10-11:00 a.m. at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.  A private celebration of Carol’s life will follow.  Face coverings are essential for those attending and social distancing protocols will be observed.  Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added to our on-line guestbook at www.atkinsonfeucht.com.
