Brenda Kay Brace, 67, of Massillon, a loving and devoted wife, mom and grandma, passed away peacefully in the early evening of Friday, October 27, 2017, with her family at her side. Born in Columbus, August 18, 1950, a daughter to the late Richard M. and Gladys Marie (Fordmwalt) Power, Brenda Kay graduated from Jackson Memorial High School with the Class of 1968. She had worked in several retail positions before retiring as an assistant manager of Sears at Belden Village in 2013, following 20 years of dedicated service. She also worked to create a warm and loving home for her husband and family. Her hobbies included a love of travel and trips to the beach – and making sure that none of the birds in her neighborhood ever went hungry. Predeceased by her parents; Brenda Kay is survived by her husband of 46 years, Terry L. Brace; and their son, Benjamin A. (Tammy) Brace, of Massillon; grandchildren, Kayla, Collin and Gabrielle Brace; her sister, Mrs. Bonnie Power Newell, of Navarre and brother, Richard Power, of Hollywood, Florida.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, October 31, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon. Calling hours will precede the service on Tuesday from 4-6:00 p.m. Rev. Ray Gill of LifeSong Church will officiate and a private burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family has suggested memorial contributions in Brenda Kay's name be made to advance the ministry and mission of LifeSong Church, 1236 Huron Road SE, Massillon, Ohio 44646.
