Beulah Lautensleger Obituary

Beulah I. Lautensleger, following a long and purpose-filled life as a beloved wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma, passed away peacefully, attended by her sons, early Friday morning, September 16, 2022, at the age of 102.  Born in Coshocton County, Ohio, February 7, 1920, a daughter to the late Charles and Lottie (Warren) Hothem, Beulah graduated from West Lafayette High School with the Class of 1937, and attended Canton Business College.  While her husband served in the army, Beulah joined other working women as “Rosie the Riveter,” working at Goodyear in Akron.  Later she received her real estate license and worked professionally as a realtor for a number of area agencies before retiring from the former Rinehart Realty in 1985.

A faithful and active member of Richville United Church of Christ for more than 60 years, Beulah was also a member of the Golden Charms.  Her social memberships included professional real estate organizations in Stark and surrounding counties.  In her leisure time she enjoyed gardening and golf and was an avid fan of Cleveland baseball.

Predeceased by her parents; her husband of 67 years, Arthur J. Lautensleger, who passed away in 2008; and seven siblings; Beulah is survived by her sons, Ronald (Beth) and Larry (Linda) Lautensleger, all of Perry Township; her grandchildren, Douglas (Helena) Lautensleger, Scott Lautensleger, Eric Lautensleger (and Beth Sternberg), Geoff Bracken and Christina Bracken; and her great-grandchildren, Grady and Cameron Lautensleger, Chase Overholt, Jordan Bracken, Bridgette Schweitzer-Bracken, and Kali and Madeline Lautensleger.

There are no calling hours.  Pastor Will Stuart will join the family for a private chapel service and burial.  A more fitting public celebration of Beulah’s life will be held at Richville UCC at the convenience of the church and her family.  Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon has been entrusted with arrangements.
