Annie Muratides, 98, of Massillon, passed away on May 27, 2021 while surrounded by her loving family.
Born on January 10, 1923, to the late George Harry and Alexandria Orphanides, Annie was the longest active parishioner and choir member of Grace United Church of Christ. She sang in the choir for over seven consecutive decades. Annie had a passion for singing, music and family.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George, and her brothers Harry and Gust Orphanides. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her loving sister, Gloria (Steve) Liossis of Florida: children George (Pam) Muratides, John Muratides and Carol Ann Rayburn, all of Florida: grandchildren Tasha Rayburn, Leanne Smith, Jeffrey, Spencer (Rosie) and Olivia Muratides and Kimberlee Hesson: great grandchildren Kendra Kuehn, Pepper Bekavic, Ashaya Rayburn, Donovan McIntosh, Mia Muratides and Skylar Moore.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon. Pastor Karen McEwen will officiate, and burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in Canton. The family will receive condolences one hour prior to the services, from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M.
