Ann Shetler Obituary

Ann Shetler, 95, of Navarre, passed away late Saturday morning, December 12, 2020.  Born in Massillon, June 12, 1925, a daughter to the late Francis and Elizabeth (Reder) Erdely, Ann attended school in Massillon and worked as a press operator at the former Ecko Products, Inc.  Following her marriage to Don Shetler and relocating to Navarre, Ann became a full-time homemaker – a devoted wife and a loving and supportive mom, grandma and sister.  She placed her strong Catholic faith, her husband and her family at the center of her life and created a home full of happy memories.  She was always ready for any occasion that brought the family together and knew just how to make it special.  Her grandchildren meant everything to her.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald A. Shetler and an infant daughter, Mona; siblings, Mary Sharrits, Rose Vukelic, Steven Boda, Joseph Boda, Elizabeth McClelland, Francis Erdely and Louise Domingue; Ann is survived by her daughter, Jean (Dr. Joel) Schwartz, of Canton and son, Greg Shetler, of Navarre; grandchildren, Dr. Ryan (Dr. Rachel) Schwartz, of Broadview Heights, Sarah (Joe) Denzinger, of Garrettsville and Dr. Laura Schwartz, of Canton, Ohio.  Also surviving is a host of beloved nieces and nephews; in particular, a special niece, Patti Bucci.

Fr. Tom Bishop will join with Ann’s family on Thursday morning to celebrate a private funeral Mass at Holy Family Parish Church.  Burial will follow at Union Lawn Cemetery.  There are no calling hours.  The family has suggested memorial contributions made to The Stark County Hunger Task Force.  Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added to our on-line guestbook at, www.atkinsonfeucht.com.

“Ann will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.  Love you mom and grandma!”
