William C. Fiscus, 81, of Massillon, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family, early Sunday morning, November 25, 2018. Born in Massillon, May 17, 1937, a son to the late Nevin C. and Ester I. (Miller) Fiscus, Bill attended Washington High School. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the US Army and had worked as a millwright with the former Enduro Stainless Division of Republic Steel Corp., before retiring after more than 40 years of faithful service.
A man of quiet, personal faith, Bill will be remembered as a loving and devoted dad, brother and friend. He looked forward to spending time with his family and filled his leisure hours with hobbies that included fishing, woodworking and making the rounds of area car shows. He held membership in AMVETS Massillon Post 12 and DAV Massillon Chapter 38, and served actively in both organizations.
Preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Virginia; Bill is survived by his son, William A. “Bill” (Tammy) Fiscus, of Massillon; his sister, Doris Milford and brother, Bob Fiscus; Dianne Edwards and David Schuster; his loving companion, Sandy Huth and an extended family and many treasured friends.
The family will receive condolences informally from 10-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018, followed by a brief service at 11:00 a.m. at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park in Canton.
