Shirlee M. Bradley, 89, of Navarre, passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, on Tuesday morning, November 21, 2017. Born in Glouster, Ohio, September 4, 1928, a daughter to the late Donald A. and Thelma (Beal) Adams, Shirlee graduated from Glouster High School with the Class of 1946. She and her husband, Ed, were married in 1950 and relocated their young family to Navarre in 1954. A member of Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church throughout most of her adult life, Shirlee had worked as a cook at the former Navarre Elementary School until her retirement. A devoted wife and a loving mom, grammy and great-grandma, she placed her family at the center of her life and looked forward to every minute they spent together. An excellent cook, Shirlee loved preparing and hosting holiday meals and other special occasions or sometimes just quietly enjoying pleasant conversation over coffee.
Predeceased by her parents; husband Edward L. “Jack” Bradley; a son Michael Bradley, who died in infancy and a younger brother, Billy Adams; Shirlee is survived by her daughters, Chantelle (Tim) Blake, of Navarre and Michelle M. Vatovec, of Massillon; her grandchildren, Carmen (Paul) Brady, of Massillon and Christopher (Erika) Brown, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and great-grandchildren, Cole and Isabelle Brady and Lorenzo Brown.
The family will receive guests Friday evening, November 24, from 4-6:00 p.m. at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Navarre. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, November 25, where funeral services will be conducted, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in East Union Lawn Cemetery. The family has suggested memorial contributions made to advance the mission and ministry of Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church - 121 Basin Street NW, Navarre, Ohio 44662.
