Sharen (Knapp) Hensel Bennett, 74, of Jackson Twp., passed away in the comfort of her home and with her family at her side on Friday morning, August 17, 2018. Born in Massillon, November 2, 1943, a daughter to the late Edward H. and Jean (Sandrich) Knapp Waggoner, Sharen had attended Central Catholic High School. She worked for a time as a beautician but was primarily a homemaker. A loving wife, an amazing mother and an extraordinary grandmother and great-grandmother, Sharen loved the time she spent with her family, extended family and her many treasured friends. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, which always seemed to show her very competitive side; and she had a great sense of humor. The void she leaves in all of the lives she touched is immeasurable.
Predeceased by her parents and brother, Ed Knapp; her step-mother, Norma Knobloch; nephews, Mark and Doug Knapp and great-nephew, Anthony Crawford; Sharen is survived by her husband, Richard A. “Rich” Bennett; children, Todd (Mia) Hensel, of Massillon, Deena (Jay) Mullane, of Perry Twp., Scott Hensel, of Jackson Twp., Gregg Hensel, of Wooster and Kellie (Rod) Herron, of Mineral City; step-children, Richard (Becky) Bennett, of Brimfield, Cindy Bennett, of Cuyahoga Falls and Timothy (Anthony) Bennett, of New York City; her grandchildren, Natthen, Chadd, Justten, Marnnie, Laccie, Josh, Zack. Matthew, Ashlee, Meggan, Mark, Giana, Derrick, Jacob, Brennan, Celena and Devon. Additional survivors include 17 great-grandchildren and a dear niece, Ellen Crawford, of Akron and nephew, John Knapp.
