Sally Ann Hindley, 75, of Navarre, with her family gathered to her side, passed away peacefully late Saturday afternoon, December 15, 2018. Born in Massillon, January 29, 1943, a daughter to the late Jesse D. and Marcia R. (Koch) Miller, Sally graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1961. She attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1963. Sally was employed for more than twenty years with the Massillon Post Office and drove her Checker taxi cab to deliver the mail. She loved art and making crafts; loved photography and going to cemeteries to photograph headstones and make a record of where the person was located. She had a passion for genealogy and tracing the family roots back as far as she could. She was fascinated by castles and had the chance to travel to England and explore. Her greatest love was for her family. She loved her husband Blaine with a passion and that did not change after he passed. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart.
Preceded in death by her parents; and in 1997, by her husband, Blaine Wilson Hindley; Sally is survived by her sons, Mathew R. Hindley, Adam B. Hindley and Mark V. (Linda) Hindley, all of the area; her grandchildren, Michael Hindley, Tyler Lash, Ashley, Elisa and Jesse Hindley; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Tucker Hindley; her sister, Donna D. Miller and brother, Randy L. Miller; and many dear relatives and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Sally’s life will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening, December 20, 2018, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon. The family will receive condolences one hour prior to the service, from 5-6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. A private burial will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Massillon.
