Phyllis Ann (Simpkins) Lawrence

Phyllis Ann Lawrence, 74, of Navarre, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.  Born in Canton, October 28, 1942, a daughter to the late Charles L. and Frances (Brandon) Simpkins, Phyllis graduated from Timken Vocational High School and had been an area resident her entire life.  She had been a home maker and had also worked at Country Lawn Nursing Home and at Subway in Navarre.  A faithful member of St. Clement and Holy Family Parish in Navarre, she was fluent in American Sign Language and in her leisure time liked to knit, crochet and paint.    
Predeceased by her parents; her husband, Glenn Arden Lawrence; her sister, Rosemary Simpkins Swab and brother, Charles L. Simpkins, Jr.; Phyllis is survived by her sister, Frances J. (Jack) Beacon, of Canton and brother, Larry D. (Vicky) Simpkins, of Navarre.  Also surviving are five step-children and ten step-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Holy Family Parish in Navarre.  Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.  There are no calling hours.  The family will receive condolences following the burial.
